With safety being the top priority for Local 1010, guardrails were recently erected along the fishing pier at the north end of Plt. 2. They were designed to help ensure that no fisherman falls into the lake.

Previously, there was nothing to protect people from falling in if they happened to get too close to the edge and possibly slip.

As you can see by the photos, fishing rod holders were also installed as a convenience. Roped life preservers were also added.

Thanks to all who helped in getting the railing up. I’m sure this railing will save a life in the long run, and we should all be very proud of our efforts.
